Meet the Dream Makers
-
Amber Friesen, Founder
Amber is the passionate and resilient founder of Taylor’s Dream. Driven by a profound desire to make a difference, she created this organization in memory of her daughter. Her ultimate goal is to give other families a break from cancer life - time to play, explore, and create memories.
-
Anne Masterson, President
Anne has led the Taylor’s Dream team since 2022, striving to create a lasting impact for families affected by childhood cancer. Her passion stems from watching her daughter and Taylor’s friendship, knowing exactly how important making memories is - for everyone. Her mission is to ensure families have the opportunity to take a break from the overwhelming daily burdens faced by children battling cancer.
-
Margaret Tuner, Vice President
Margaret has been with Taylor’s Dream since the beginning. Taylor was one of her youngest daughter’s besties. A favorite memory was listening to the girls’ laughter when they got together. Her mission is helping to provide opportunities for other families to enjoy their child’s laughter.
-
Brenda Slade, Treasurer
Brenda’s journey with Taylor’s Dream began when she heard Taylor’s story through a community group that organized Jeep parades during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a creative way to help people celebrate even when they couldn't gather in person. Later, when she learned about Amber’s desire to establish a non-profit to honor Taylor’s memory, she was immediately on board. Brenda has been involved from the beginning, initially as Board Secretary and now as Treasurer.
-
Stacye Greer, Secretary
Stacye was introduced to Taylor’s Dream in 2023 by Brenda Slade, a Board Member involved since the beginning. She officially joined as a sitting Board Member in 2023. After serving for about a year, she was moved to an officer position and became Secretary. Stacye's mission is to help children with cancer and their families to make happy memories and take a break from the grind of fighting cancer.
